Mei Rao was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Queens, New York City. She is an enthusiastic student and a dedicated worker who absolutely loves what she does. She believes in paying close attention to detail, constantly learning about different subjects, and collaborating with diverse groups of people with an open mind. She takes pride in every single line of code and every single comment she writes.

When she's not working, Mei's probably in the kitchen testing an exciting new remix of a traditional dish, working on some poetry or some other creative project, or just blabbing about a hobby with her friends. +10 Passion
Mei does what she does from a place of passion. She approaches every project with optimism and dedication in mind. Computer science and cognitive systems are the future, and at the risk of sounding sappy, she is just happy to help make the world a better place, line by line. She often stays up late working on different projects. But that's quite alright with her. There's just something so beautiful about getting lost in time with a keyboard at the fingertips, about thinking and planning and dreaming from the smallest optimization to the biggest picture. The very feeling lights a fire in her heart.
+10 Growth
Mei understands the importance of personal growth. She is used to working two jobs to support her way through university, and that experience helps her quickly pick up new coding languages and tools. It is important for her to learn a wide variety of skills and information for all facets of life. Among many other things, Mei enjoys cooking, creative writing, DND, table tennis, and mechanical keyboards. No matter how much time passes from her graduation, her studies will never quite be over. She hopes to forever grow like bamboo, strong and flexible.
+10 Collaboration
Mei loves to collaborate with other people. The most brilliant things on Earth are built from open and regular communication. She carefully comments and structures her code and takes note of convention. In her experience, the best teams are supportive, diverse, and consider many different viewpoints. When she joins a team, she always brings extra energy and passion with her to the table. The way she sees it, the richest and most complex dishes can only be made by layering many different flavors together. Mei looks forward to adding her own ingredients to the pot.
